WELCOME! 

I am so excited to finally have my blog set up and start sharing more about my heart and soul’s passion to empower women and create space for diverse and marginalized bodies. I am so glad you’re here!

If we haven’t met, my name is Kristen and I’m a Kansas City girl, living in Liberty, Missouri with my two kiddos, three dogs, and a hamster named Chili. I am a single mom and work hard to create the life I know they deserve.

I started in boudoir after 6 years of photography. One of my best friends and I were texting each other one day and were talking about how sad we were that we hated our bodies in highschool, and when we look back at old pictures, we just remember how miserable we were because of our self-worth and insecurities.

After years of working together and navigating healthy relationships with our bodies, we decided to get out the camera and celebrate ourselves so we had new pictures to look back on – pictures that we could look at and say “I was so fucking sexy – and I FELT IT TOO.”

That’s how this all started. We actually grew that thought of a day of empowerment and Taylor Paige & I hosted a women’s empowerment day in Downtown Kansas City. We rented a studio, Taylor decorated and brought wine, snacks, and gifts. We did TEN MINUTE (!!!) mini sessions, then Taylor spoke about her journey to love herself and her body, and that day catapulted me into my passion and everything I’m doing now – empowering women in Kansas City to love themselves and celebrate themselves, exactly as they are. 

After that day, I took it upon myself to invest in education and training to become a safe boudoir photographer – and I say that because boudoir is vulnerable. It is such a vulnerable place to be, half naked in front of someone with a camera – and I did not want to fuck that up, just to be blunt.

So after education and training and a mentor, I jumped in! I have had the honor to work with so many incredible women and the look on their faces when they see their images, and honestly, even during their sessions – it never. gets. old. 

I am truly living my dream every time I have a new client in the studio and I get to see her mannerisms, her confidence, and the way she carries herself – all change, right before my eyes. I am your biggest hype girl and can assure you that you’re in great hands when you’re in my studio. I can’t wait to share more along the way – all things boudoir, behind the scenes in the studio, working through body image and society’s expectations, mental health – all things I’m so excited to share here.
